Transport to and from Dublin Airport

There are good shuttle bus connections between the Airport and the centre of town. In particular Aircoach buses (route 700, direction Leopardstown) provide quick links to and from the city centre and also stop at the UCD Belfield campus.

Public Transport in Dublin

Within Dublin city you can walk to many destinations.

If you intend to use public transport on a regular basis during your stay in Dublin you could also buy a leap card for 5 Euro to save 20% on fares. You can find further information here. The card can be used on buses, local commuter trains and trams.

Dublin Bus operates an extensive bus network within the Dublin area. You can buy tickets on the bus, but drivers accept only coins and will not take Euro notes.

Getting to the UCD Belfield campus (Friday 28 September)

Buses 39A, 46A, and 145 provide regular bus links between Dublin city and the UCD campus. The 39A has UCD as its final destination destination, with the other buses you need to get off at the main road (N11) and walk across the bridge to the campus.

Directly from or to the Airport there is also the Aircoach 700 (destination Leopardstown) which stops at UCD.

Further information about getting to UCD is available here.

You can download a campus map here. Our venue on Friday is in the Newman Building (no 41 on the map). The School of Philosophy is on the 5th Floor of the Newman Building. When you enter the Newman Building you will see colour coded lines on the floor. If you follow the orange/dark yellow line, it will lead you to a lift that you can take up to the 5th floor to the School of Philosophy.
